First, make sure you are enrolled in Bluelink and your vehicle is enrolled in the driving score feature. Second, you must drive at least 20 miles per week for two weeks to begin receiving your driving score.

You can pre-set the temperature and fan speed before turning off the vehicle's engine. The next time you perform a Remote Start, your vehicle will begin to cool or warm the cabin based on the pre-set temperature and fan speed.

For select vehicles equipped with Fully Automatic Temperature Control, you can set the cabin air temperature directly from the web or mobile app when executing a Remote Start. This option will be visible in both Mobile App & MyHyundai.com if this feature is available for your vehicle.

Enhanced Roadside Assistance works in conjunction with your vehicle's Hyundai Assurance 24/7 Roadside Assistance coverage. GPS coordinates for your vehicle will be provided to the Bluelink Customer Care agent when making a Roadside Assistance call from inside the vehicle using the Bluelink button.

Your vehicle must be equipped with Push-Button Start AND Automatic Transmission or DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) to operate the Remote Start feature. The vehicle engine will idle for up to 10 minutes and automatically turn off if you do not enter the vehicle with the smart key fob.

Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) calculates your premiums based on real driving data collected by the vehicle. Yes, your driving score is provided to help you qualify for Usage-Based Insurance discounts from third-party auto insurance companies. Discounts will vary depending on your driving score, driving events, and the auto insurance company.

The driving score is calculated with a proprietary algorithm that evaluates Smooth Driving, Time Behind the Wheel, Driving Time, Speed Responsibility, and Driving Consistency. Generally, it accounts for how much and when a vehicle is driven, as well as how the vehicle is driven, including how often and when braking, acceleration, and speeding events occur.

Rapid acceleration and harsh braking events are when a vehicle’s speed changes at a rate faster than +9.5 miles per hour per second or -9.5 miles per hour per second, respectively. The Smooth Driving component evaluates how smoothly a driver accelerates and decelerates the vehicle. Frequent harsh braking and rapid acceleration events may have a negative impact on the score, while smooth driving may positively influence the score.

This evaluates how much a vehicle is driven. A short amount of time spent driving may have a favorable impact on the score, and a lot of time may have an unfavorable impact on the score.

This evaluates the days of the week and times of the day the vehicle is driven. Late-night driving, especially during the weekend, is typically risky and can have a negative impact on the score. Daytime driving during the week is typically not very risky and can favorably influence the score.

This evaluates how frequently the vehicle is driven at speeds faster than 80 mph. Frequently driving faster than 80 mph will have a negative impact on the score.

This evaluates the regularity of a vehicle's driving schedule. Driving at the same times throughout the week can be favorable, while a sporadic driving schedule may be unfavorable.

Hyundai is interested in enhancing your driving experience. The driving score and the associated behavior analytics are a feature that gives you insights into your driving behaviors and suggests ways to adopt safer driving habits. As an added benefit, improving your driving score could qualify you for insurance discounts.

Your driving data is not shared anywhere else, unless you authorize it to be shared with insurance companies.

Name, address, and vehicle identification number (VIN), in addition to driving data from your vehicle that records time of day, vehicle speed, braking, and acceleration. Security protocols have been implemented to safeguard your personal information.

If you opted out of the driving score feature, your score and driving data will be deleted and will no longer be available. If you rejoin the program, your driving score is reset and you have to start from the beginning.

The score isn’t assigned to a specific driver of the vehicle. It is based on the cumulative driving data from all drivers of the specific vehicle enrolled in the program.

Scores of 50 or higher can be considered good scores and may qualify you for auto insurance discounts.
